Part 2 of The city that is to come...

This is one of the bible verses that I like to keep in mind when I get discouraged with the career I am doing due to my strong belief in family orientated bringing up children: " 1Let brotherly love continue. 2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. " Sometimes I realise just how much these children have childcare as a 'second home' for example some children go to childcare around + 10 hours a day 5 days a week. So going into an environment like that is really a mission for me otherwise I wouldn't be doing it...

And following on from this principle...

Let us 'remember the prisoners as if chained with them - those who are mistreated - since you yourselves are in the body also,' (Hebrews 13:3).

I looked up the whole context of the chapter the Pastor of my church sent to everyone and noticed it was the chapter I put on my blog a while ago as a post entitled The city that is to come... http://1of8kids.blogspot.com/2011/05/city-that-is-to-come.html

He gave me permission to reproduce the email (emphasis added) without names as it has an extremely interesting link on persecuted Christians. I would encourage you to read the whole chapter (if you want to you may view it in Part 1 of this post). Please pray with me for these believers and their continued faith!

"Dear friends,

There is an interesting documentary segment recently shown on Foreign Correspondent about Christianity in China.

You might wish to view it at http://www.abc.net.au/foreign/
Click on 'True Believers' - the second half of the report covers Christians, though all of it is quiet informative.

How blessed we are to worship and serve our Master in a free country!  May we not waste such privileges while we still have them.

Let us 'remember the prisoners as if chained with them - those who are mistreated - since you yourselves are in the body also,' (Hebrews 13:3).
For Christ and His Kingdom,

Pastor ..."
